Terms

These terms set out how the platform may be used. Opening an account or sending a work means accepting them.

What the platform does

The platform serves several academic conferences from one place: each publishes its own page, deadlines and submission rules, work is sent here, and the decision appears here. The conferences are independent — rules and dates differ from one to the next.

Your account

Keep the account truthful: the name, affiliation and email address are how the platform reaches you. One person uses one account. Keeping your password or Milliy ID account safe is your own responsibility; tell us at once if you believe someone else has used it.

Sending a work

A work must be original, must not be under consideration elsewhere at the same time, and must be sent with every co-author agreement. File type, size and word count follow the published rule of each stage, and a stage whose window has closed accepts nothing. Once sent, the work receives its reference number and the text is sealed.

Examination and decision

The scholarly decision is made by the conference programme chair. A decision becomes known only when its letter is sent: your cabinet does not reveal the outcome before that, so the two can never disagree. If revisions are requested, you send the new version from your cabinet and the reference number stays the same.

Rights in your work

The work stays yours. You grant the platform the right to examine it, to keep it, and — if it is accepted — to publish it on the terms that conference has published. Publication terms and any licence are stated on each conference publication page.

Withdrawing a work

A work that has not yet been decided can be withdrawn from your cabinet at any time. After a decision has been announced, withdrawal is arranged with the conference.

Fees

A conference may charge a fee for participation or publication. Where a fee applies, its amount and its terms are stated on that conference own page; where none is stated, nothing is owed. A fee paid for a work that is then rejected is not refunded, because the examination has already been carried out.

What is not allowed

Sending a work in someone else name or without their agreement, presenting another author text as your own, uploading a harmful file, and attempting to disable the system or reach data that is not yours are all forbidden. Such an account is suspended and the submission annulled.

What the platform promises

The platform is provided as it stands and interruptions are possible; when one happens the service is restored and the conference decides what it means for its deadlines. Responsibility for the scholarly judgement and for the acceptance decision lies with that conference committee, not with the platform.
